ERHS Video Production II Assignment #2A

(2) :15 News Opens
1 humorous and 1 serious

Objective: To shoot (2) short video news opens using 
the Sony PD-150 and edited on Adobe Premiere 6  
 
Your news opens must end with an audio tag and a full screen graphic:
Audio Tag Example: 

"And now, Emerald Ridge High School JagTV news"
or
"Welcome to the Emerald Ridge High School Morning Announcements"




Each piece must utilize a different short piece of "instrumental music" 
that is appropriate.

News style music is available from our music package.
 
Be creative with your shooting!

You can utilize shots of people/parts of the building like the clock tower or other school icons.
You should alter the video image in Adobe using filters or other video clip
alterations. 
 
Watch a few newscasts/sportscasts and see what local news/sports are doing.
Because I am so nice, No Script is required for this assignment.
 
Remember:
You must add at least :10 seconds of back porch video to the end of your news open to allow for transitions and fades into the studio. 

So your video open is actually :25…. The open is :15, with :10 of video cushion. Your audio tag MUST end at :15 seconds.

You will be graded individually on your following the assignment criteria:
Is it :15, with a :10 video back porch?
Does it end with a full screen graphic?
Is the music correct/appropriate?
Is it edited cleanly?
Does it make sense?
